Bill Cherry

Bill Cherry was born the son of a Pentecostal minister with a deep-rooted love of Southern Gospel music and has fond memories of playing guitar and singing gospel songs with his father.  Some of their favorites were "You'll Never Walk Alone", "Peace In The Valley" and "How Great Thou Art".  The life long fan of Elvis Presley, from Collinsville, Illinois, has been keeping the King of Rock “N” Roll’s memory and music alive since 1989. Bill has also had the pleasure of meeting with many of Elvis's original entourage including Kathy Westmoreland, D.J. Fontana, J.D. Summer, Charlie Hodge, Ed Parker, Vester Presley, and Kang Rhee (Elvis's karate instructor in Memphis).  With his award winning performances, Bill has entertained and touched the hearts of countless fans. With the utmost respect for Elvis, Bill takes great pride in every performance. “Performing a tribute to the greatest entertainer the world has ever known is a dream come true.”  He has studied "the King" for many years. He has Elvis's voice, moves and mannerisms. Bill’s uncanny resemblance to the King has won numerous Elvis Look and Sound alike contests across the country and is proud to hold the title of Elvis Presley Enterprises 2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Winner. Those who have seen Bill say he truly is the closest to the King you can get! He even drives a Stutz Blackhawk-- it doesn't get any closer.
